About this course
This course provides a comprehensive and industry-oriented introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), focusing on both the theoretical foundations and practical implementation of fluid flow and heat transfer simulations using the ANSYS Fluent environment.
The course is designed to equip engineers and researchers with the knowledge required to model, analyze, and optimize complex fluid and thermal systems across a wide range of industrial applications. Students will develop a strong understanding of governing equations, turbulence modeling, numerical methods, meshing strategies, boundary condition definition, solver setup, convergence monitoring, and post-processing techniques.
Throughout the course, practical case studies and real engineering projects will be explored in multiple sectors including aerodynamics, turbomachinery, HVAC systems, renewable energy, combustion, automotive engineering, aerospace, electronics cooling, multiphase flow, spray systems, process engineering, marine applications, biomedical flow analysis, and industrial thermal management.
Special emphasis is placed on simulation accuracy, mesh quality, numerical stability, validation methodologies, and engineering interpretation of results to ensure students gain practical industrial-level CFD experience. By the end of the course, learners will be capable of performing complete CFD workflows from geometry preparation to advanced result analysis and design optimization for real-world engineering applications.
